ABOUT US
Ethically sourced, lived-in pieces with no permanent home but the one within.
All clothing is ethically sourced and styled by the artist, Cally. Each collection has been carefully curated with different elements of Cally’s creative expression in her day to day life. Cally is a multidisciplinary artist who uses mixed media to emulate the power of imagination in relationship with the physical world we live in. On a quest to find balance in a yang-dominated society, Cally finds beauty in the so called ‘imperfections’ she recognises as change.
While a nomad doesn’t have a permanent home, historically, they change with the seasons. In turn, The Nomads Garage offers carefully curated collections to reflect each of the elements of the earth as the seasons change. Each collection is an invitation to follow our natural rhythms and change with the seasons.
As I release each collection, I release a part of myself. The part of me that was taught to do before I could learn to be. The versions of myself I thought I knew, that covered the parts of me I forgot to love. Consumerism teaches us to fall in love with wanting more rather than loving what we already have. I understand that it is often difficult to make our way back through to what we are truly here for, when there is so much product available to us. As I let go of these much loved pieces, I uncover the innate, untaught self. I discover a place of belonging, where my value is no longer defined by material possessions.

A LOOK INSIDE THE GARAGE
CLOTHING THRIFTED BY MY THIRD EYE
Each piece of clothing has been collected with love over time, along the coastlines of Australia and thrifting abroad. Memories are made in these items road tripping, chasing surf and waterfalls, and connecting with others and the land I am fortunate enough to call home. Whilst slow fashion is at the brands forefront, The Nomads Garage embodies the act of accepting impermanence in the tangible world to enhance holistic well-being in the face of the inevitable cycles of change. So as my way of honouring the past, I offer well-worn clothing, acknowledging that they have been worn well in some lifetime, in hopes that you might do the same.
ILLUSTRATIONS AND POETRY WRITTEN BY RETURNING HOME
On my healing journey, I found joy in the medicine of writing. Although I always held a love for drawing, I struggled to put time into the practice. The more I journaled in an attempt to peel back the layers of conditioning, the stronger the urge to draw became. I played with pens and poems and later decided to document this journal of becoming. And so, The Nomads Garage was established.
The original artworks are prints created with intention for loved ones. I first wrote the Home poem for my best friend's birthday and decided to turn it into a poster to combine my love for drawing. During my healing journey, I also found I often struggled to express my emotions with words. But I found comfort in gift-giving—it became my way of showing love when I couldn’t say it out loud. More of these gifts were made for my best mates which then inspired me to create intentional cards — Love Letters. Small, meaningful keepsakes that help others express what they feel when they may not know how to say.
This grew into a business rooted in conscious, intentional living—combining eco-friendly art and vintage clothing to offer thoughtful, sustainable ways to share love, tell stories, and live with purpose.

LOVED BY MANY, ME AND MORE
Love that is stored, everywhere. Come home, I will meet you there.

THE NOMADS MISSION
"Having little formal education on art, poetry or illustration, I create by experimenting with the unknown. I value process over product so patience is very potent in my craft to allow for authentic expression. I reflect this through the transparent ethical sourcing of clothing and eco-friendly materials used to produce my artwork. I work to minimise how much we collectively take from the earth, my home of inspiration."
Cally created the space to carry that sense of slowing down enough to patiently attend to feeling what we feel as we feel it. A space that invites stillness amongst the chaos of life. A space of play and curiousity, where we drop the stories that speak of constant improvement and come home to this moment, where life is happening.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Nomads Garage aims to spread awareness on sustainability through authenticity. Through somatic practice, Cally learns to redirect the focus from making the change to BEING the change. To stray away from conventional practices and come home to a practice that goes far beyond the surface. The Nomads Garage encourages you to “Come home”. - By coming home to your innate state of being, you are not only supporting individual creative expression but something so much bigger. Inviting you to be yourself, as part of the earth, as part of the change. So if you see yourself in an item, the only invitation is to be yourself in the item. To embody the essence of BEING in The Nomads Garage.

OUR FOUNDER
Cally admires authenticity in others and reflects it back to them with her artworks. The Nomads Garage, officially established in 2025, is in reciprocity of the love that this world and everyone in it has taught her.
Cally draws from her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and works with Somatic Practices to connect with her most authentic self. Her poetry is inspired by the presence of her body on this earth and therefore, acknowledges all that has come before her and all that is possible of coming after her. She presents her artworks as being influenced by memories and emotions to encourage self love and true sustainability.
"I am so excited for how my ideas and understanding will change and grow over time. I recognise how these words may only be of relevance at this point in time and I hope nothing that I create reads as harmful, but I acknowledge that possibility. I hope to make this space as multilateral as possible. My ability to create is fueled by inspiration found in this great dance of life. In turn, I hope that The Nomads Garage offers shape to our collective thoughts. I do not aim to be the reason others’ grow, I just hope, in a world that is so desperately chasing trends that are always changing, I can hold a space where change is always trending."
